Bricks Challenge

Classical mechanics with building blocks

Bricks Challenge introduces children to the principles of STEM and classical mechanics using building blocks and mechanical parts. Each session opens with the day’s model and engineering principle, often wrapped in an interactive story. Kids then build, enhance and modify their models, sometimes for friendly competitions, and wrap up with questions that lock in the concepts.

What kids learn

  • Laws of physics, forces and energy
  • Torque, leverage and load distribution
  • Symmetry and centrifugal force
  • Complex mechanisms and transmissions
  • Stories of great engineers like Archimedes and Da Vinci

What kids build

Amusement park rides, transportation machines, cranes, drawing machines, elevators and modern machinery.
